The FM-900 series of boot-mounted mobile radio- telephones is designed around a singie-loop frequency svnthesiser controlled bv a microcom~uter The FM900 may be programmed for up to 1200 channels with a transmitter power up to 25 W It provides two-way communication between mobiie and base station when operating two-frequency sirnplex or rnay comrnuncate directly with other mobiles and personal radios operating in the all-informed single-frequency simplex rnode Full duplex varlarits are also available wilh an extended case providing a thermally isolated power amplifier for continuous transmissions The equipment is also capable of 16 kbtsls digital speech encryption Extension control units are available to meet a wide range of operational needs in civil or rniilary vehicles
